Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 11. DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON NACO'S REQUEST TO IDENTIFY SPOKESPERSON <br /> FROM HALL COUNTY REGARDING GENERAL ASSISTANCE ISSUES - Stacey received an e <br /> mail from Elaine Menzel with NACO asking for a spokesperson from Hall County. <br /> Lancaster stated that she and Don Shuda attended a meeting in Fremont regarding this. She <br /> stated that DHHS does an excellent job and Hall County is very fortunate. The fees they charge <br /> are very nominal. Numerous counties have tremendous costs for the general assistance. <br /> Discussion was held. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to authorize the Chairman as the <br /> spokesperson. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 12 DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON REQUEST FOR INPUT ON LEGISLATIVE INTERIM <br /> STUDY (LR228) OF THE COMMISSION OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS <br /> Beth Ferrell with NACO is asking counties for input regarding this legislative interim study <br /> regarding the CIR. Discussion was held and this information will be forwarded to Jerry <br /> Janulewicz and any Hall County departments that have unions. Lancaster stated that she will <br /> also check on information that would be beneficial to county government. <br /> 14. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON APPOINTMENT TO REGIONAL PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION — Regional Planning Director Chad Nabity was present and stated that Mark <br /> Reynolds has served on the commission for 21 years and is ready to step down, he will <br /> continue on the commission until someone is appointed to take his place. Chad stated that this <br /> is an opportunity to look at some one new. He has appreciated Mr. Reynold's input over the <br /> years. This positon has to be filled by someone outside of the municipal limits. <br /> Arnold suggested that Mr. Nabity could do a press release. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Purdy seconded to authorize Mr. Nabity to do a press release <br /> regarding the appointment to the Regional Planning Commission. <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no.
