RANDY SEE — UPDATE REGARDING HALL COUNTY COMMUNITY BASED GRANT
ADDITIONAL FUNDS Juvenile Service Director Randy See stated that this is for additional
funding for the community based grant in the amount of$47,547.00 he is requesting that the
board authorize the chair to sign so they can move forward with this application. They would
like to be more consistent with their programs by providing monthly programs and it would help
with scheduling. Some of the participants are required to attend outside classes and they would
like to use some of these dollars for these classes. It is a 2 year grant so they could provide
funding for 2 years. If some families cannot pay the fees they could also offer scholarships to
help pay the fees. If the fees are waived this would also be a way to pay back Hall County. The
matching dollars that are required are used from the detention expenses that Hall County pays.
This was reviewed by the community collaborative.
Schuppan made a motion and Purdy seconded to authorize the Chair to sign the community
based grant application.
