He <br />presented claim to H.P. Smith Ford, Omaha for $24,224.00 for two 1992 Ford <br />sedans. <br />Motion by Wright, seconded by Abernethy to authorize purchase of two <br />patrol cars and authorize payment of claim as submitted. On roll call vote <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10:00 A.M. re~eive and open sealed bids for three reinforced concrete box <br />culverts. Affidavit of publication was read. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy to open bids received. On roll call <br />vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, <br />none voted no. On roll call vote Aber- <br />nethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hartman, Chairman Building & Grounds Committee reported air conditioner went <br />out in the Women's side of jail facility. Have received three proposals for <br />replacement. Frymire $760.00 is the lowest proposal received. <br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Quandt to accept proposal from Frymire <br />$760.00 for air conditioner at jail facility. On roll call vote Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright, and Landis voted yes, none voted <br />no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Bud Whitaker, President Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity gave board <br />members information on the Habitat for Humanity International and the local <br />activities. He stated today the basement is being poured for first house in <br />Grand Island at 7th & Vine, extended an invitation to Board members to attend <br />the blitz to erect the house on Saturday, August 1, starting at 8:00 AM. to <br />come in work clothes and bring own hammer. The family of Rick & Carla <br />Roman will move into the completed house on September 1, 1992. <br />
