Purdy made a motion and Richardson seconded to appoint Scott Arnold and retain Gary Quandt <br /> on the GIAMPO committee. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 6.10:15 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING —APPLICATION FOR LIQUOR LICENSE FOR WOOD <br /> RIVER MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE — Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to <br /> open the public hearing for the application for the liquor license for Wood River Municipal Golf <br /> Course. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Greg Cramer, Mayor of Wood River stated that the golf course has been there since the 1960's <br /> and there have been financial problems because the membership has declined. They held <br /> public meetings regarding the golf course and as of January the City of Wood River took over <br /> the ownership and it was deeded over to the City with an agreement with the private investors. <br /> They are operating on a temporary permit and this is for the new application. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Schuppan seconded to close the public hearing. Arnold, <br /> Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt second to approve the liquor license for Wood River <br /> Municipal Golf Course. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 13 DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF APPROVING AN ADDITIONAL 3.75% COLA <br /> EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2014 FOR ALL NON-UNION, NON-ELECTED, AND NON-CHIEF <br /> DEPUTY COUNTY EMPLOYEES -Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to give the <br /> additional 3.75% increase to non-union and non-chief deputies starting July 1, 2014. <br /> Discussion was held on the start date. <br /> Stacey Ruzicka noted that there will be some exceptions because they have already received <br /> the 8.75% and she also noted that the public defender attorneys are paid the same as the <br /> deputy county attorneys <br /> Concern was expressed because the salary survey was not back in a timely manner. <br /> The vote on the motion was taken Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 14. DISCUSSION REGARDING COMMITTEE MEETING INVITEES —Arnold stated he noticed <br /> the article in the paper regarding the discussion on a county building inspector. One member <br /> invited the press to the meeting with out the knowledge of the other members. <br /> He stated the county has committees to get more work done to make it more efficient. <br /> The committee meetings are not public meetings and the chair of the committee has some <br /> control over what needs to happen and it should be the consent of the members of the <br /> committee who is invited. If this comes up again they need to know how to handle it. <br /> Quandt stated that he set this meeting up and the mayors were invited. He was the chair last <br /> year and there was concern that the county needed a building inspector. He felt the public <br /> needed to know. Mr. Cramer also brought this issue up. <br /> 6 <br />
