He replied that he would <br /> review the shop drawing and attend the monthly and bi weekly construction meetings. He <br /> would do the general observation of construction and make sure the work is done according to <br /> the plans. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Richardson seconded to refer the bid to the facilities committee to <br /> review and they will come back with a recommendation today. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, <br /> Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 17. EXECUTIVE SESSION — FOP LODGE #10 UNION NEGOTIATIONS — Lancaster made a <br /> motion and Lanfear seconded to go into executive session. This executive session is to protect <br /> the public interest. Mr. Arnold stated that he is a member of the FOP but not Lodge#10 and <br /> there is no conflict of interest. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10:23 a.m. executive session <br /> 10:43 Lancaster made a motion and Purdy seconded to go out of executive session. Chairman <br /> Arnold stated that no other subjects were discussed, no votes were taken and no action was <br /> taken. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Chairman Arnold called for a break to review the bids for the Courthouse project. <br /> 18. DISCUSS & TAKE ACTION ON COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH FOP <br /> LODGE #10— Lancaster made a motion and Purdy seconded to approve the collective <br /> bargaining agreement with FOP Lodge#10. <br /> Attorney Jerry Janulewicz came forward and stated that this agreement will be effective July 1, <br /> 2014 through June 30, 2016. They used comparable information from other counties in <br /> metropolitan areas. The contract has a few changes. <br /> • Changes regarding seniority when one or more are hired and it will be determined by the <br /> order of their appointment <br /> • Clarified that employees are not eligible for parental leave under the county handbook <br /> • Holidays now they will receive Martin Luther King birthday but not Arbor Day <br /> • Longevity pay was deleted <br /> • Employees will receive a copy of their evaluations <br /> 5 <br />
