Arnold made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the purchase agreement for 207 <br /> North Pine. <br /> Lancaster stated she supports the purchase it is close to our campus, in good condition and we <br /> need the additional space. But she expressed concern that the county did not put money aside <br /> during the budget process for the purchase of the property and the dollars will have to come <br /> from the inheritance fund. There are concerns that the inheritance funds will come under attach <br /> again. She suggested that the county return the dollars to the inheritance fund like the <br /> corrections department. <br /> The vote on the motion to purchase the building was taken. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, <br /> Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Lancaster made a motion to direct the county attorney to produce a resolution to pay back the <br /> $825,000.00 to the inheritance fund during the next fiscal year. No second to the motion. <br /> Mr. Schuppan suggested that this could be discussed at the next meeting and Mr. Zitterkopf <br /> stated that he could address the resolution also. There are dollars set aside for the other <br /> building purchases. <br /> 4C DISCUSS &APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT 115 <br /> SOUTH SYCAMORE STREET GRAND ISLAND, NE &AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN <br /> THAT AGREEMENT— Mr. Zitterkopf stated that this property is located across the street from <br /> building and grounds and they arrived at a purchase price of$80,000.00 for this property with <br /> Mr. James Smith. This is contingent on the purchase of 119 South Sycamore. He is requesting <br /> the board to approve this real estate agreement and authorize the chair to sign. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the purchase of 115 South <br /> Sycamore and authorize the Chair to sign. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> D) DISCUSS &APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT 119 <br /> S SYCAMORE STREET GRAND ISLAND, NE &AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN THAT <br /> AGREEMENT - Mr. Zitterkopf stated that he negotiated a purchase price of$75,000.00 for this <br /> property and this is less than the assessed value. He is asking for a motion to approve the <br /> agreement and authorize the chair to sign. <br /> Ziola made a motion and Purdy seconded to purchase the property at 119 South Sycamore and <br /> authorize the Chair to sign. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Lancaster stated that there are dollars to pay for these properties in the miscellaneous general <br /> instead of the inheritance fund. She noted that Jack and Stacey need direction on how to <br /> process the payments. <br /> Arnold noted that the claims could be approved at the next meeting and suggested that the <br /> facilities committee could meet and bring back a recommendation for the payment of the <br /> purchases. <br /> Lancaster stated that the county constitutional departments should have first choice on the <br /> space in the new building.
