FOR THE REROOFING OF THE COUNTY OFFICE BUILDING AT 117 EAST FIRST STREET & THE COUNTY ATTORNEY BUILDING AT 231 SOUTH LOCUST STREET— Mr. Humphrey stated that he would like to proceed with the reroofing of the county office building but wait on the county attorney building until after the first of next year. He will need to have a drawing on the drainage to raise part of the roof. This won't raise the cost but would help the roof to last longer. Lancaster made a motion and Purdy seconded to set the bid opening for October 21, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for the reroofing of the county office building. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan, and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. Held a break until the bid opening. 5. PUBLIC WORKS —A) 10:00 A.M. Motion carried. 5B) AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN ANNUAL NEBRASKA BOARD OF CLASSIFICATIONS & STANDARDS REPORT— Schuppan made a motion and Quandt seconded to authorize the chairman to sign. Mr. Sherlock stated that these reports are all submitted electronically now. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan, and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. C) DISCUSS & APPROVE RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A REQUEST TO THE NDOR FOR THE RELAXATION OF DESIGN STANDARDS FOR THE BRIDGE PROJECT ON WISEMAN ROAD NORTH OF US HWY#30 -- Mr. Sherlock stated that this is a joint project with Buffalo County and they just want to rebuild the deck of the bridge and not the abutments they are changing the process so that in the future they will be able to do this and not have to ask to do so. Mr. Sherlock stated that Hall County has a certified bridge inspector and all bridges are assessed and if necessary load rated. This is a technicality and Buffalo County will have to do the same. 5
