RESOLUTION# 14 O �Jg <br /> SUPPORTING A REQUEST TO THE NEBRASKSA DEPARTMENT OF ROADS <br /> BOARD OF PUBLIC ROADS CLASSIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS <br /> FOR THE RELAXATION OF STANDARDS FOR DESIGN LOADING <br /> FOR THE BRIDGE ON WISEMAN ROAD NORTH OF US HIGHWAY 30 <br /> WHEREAS, Hall County and Buffalo County entered into an interlocal agreement on <br /> August 12, 2014 for a project to rehabilitate the bridge on Wiseman Road north of US Highway <br /> 30 with a new concrete deck under Hall County project number C40 (431) and Buffalo County <br /> project number C10 (1432): and <br /> WHEREAS, the Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR) Board of Public Roads <br /> Classifications and Standards (BPRCS) do not have a category for bridge rehabilitation, thereby <br /> requiring HL93 design loading for the superstructure and substructure on this project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the deck is being replaced using HL93 design loading for the super structure <br /> and the substructure is not being rehabilitated as part of the project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Hall County, Nebraska understand the <br /> necessity for the relaxation of standards for design loading for the bridge on Wiseman Road <br /> north of US highway 30. <br /> THEREFORE, the Hall County Board of Supervisors support the request from the Hall County <br /> Engineer to the Nebraska Department of Roads Board of Public Roads Classification and <br /> Standards for the relaxation of design standards to not require the substructure for the bridge on <br /> Wiseman Road to be designed for HL93 design loading. <br />
