Mr. Zitterkopf stated that he was not aware of what was going on but the additional conditions
should be in writing as an addendum to the contract.
Mr. Humphrey stated that he is also to reimburse the county for damages to 4 sprinkler heads at
$135.00 a piece. They estimate that there are about 8 tons of materials to be removed and he
is to pay $100.00 a ton for the remainder that is to be removed in addition to the $50.00 that he
has already paid.
The fire sprinkler heads measure the heat and if they are using a torch the sparks could hit a
head and cause it to burst and spray water. He is to also cover all cost of any other sprinkler
heads that may be damaged.
Mr. Arnold questioned what Mr. Humphrey had to do to monitor them. There is no liability by allowing another 30
days and the county may be able to recover some of the damages.
Mr. Quandt noted that if they do not finish the project the county would have to hire someone to
finish the job. Mr. Ziola asked if they were insured and the insurance is as requested by the
county.
The vote on the motion was taken. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Quandt and Ziola all voted
yes and Purdy and Schuppan voted no. Motion carried.
NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS— Mr. Zitterkopf asked if the request to review the industrial
tract from the city was addressed. County Clerk Marla Conley stated that they have received
the information are in the process of completing.
Meeting recessed until 1:00 p.m.
15.1:00 P.M.
