Walker, member of the Airport Authority, Intermodal Transportation <br />Committee spoke on behalf of the committee, requesting the County Board to <br />approve a resolution to support the di~couragement of Cornhusker Ordnance <br />Plant be given to the Federal Fish & Wildlife Service for refuge area. <br />Supervisor Landis gave an update report on the Reuse Committee meetings. <br />Following discussion, asked Mr. Walker to delay any action until after the <br />committee members research the Fish & Wildlife Serivice request. <br /> <br />Recessed for 5 minutes. Returned to regular session. <br /> <br />Max Boersen, Building Inspector spoke in regard to the bids taken last week <br />for a vehicle for his department. Hamilton Chevrolet representative was to <br />be present and explain their bid and reason for exceptions. <br />Board members decided to wait until 10:15 a.m. for representative. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to accept and place on file the County <br />office reports as presented. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Notice of Community Development Block Grant Program meetings scheduled <br />across the State, Thursday, November 18, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Grand Island <br />College Park, Tuesday, November 23, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hastings Public <br />Library or Kearney Public Library. <br /> <br />2. Copy of letter Deputy Attorney Janulewicz had sent to City of Grand Island <br />in regard to inter local agreement for keno sales outlet locations selected <br />by County and requested City Council approve the locations. <br /> <br />3. Letter from Grand Island Jaycees, for meeting on November 11th, 1993 at <br />7:00 p.m. at Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce for plans for a teen <br />center in Grand Island. <br /> <br />4. Letter from concerned constituent, in regard to County's no smoking policy <br />in building 'but certain County Officals in Hall County Courthouse have <br />been observed smoking at their desks. <br /> <br />5. Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality will be conducting soil gas <br />survey in Cairo,Nebraskabeginning on November 1, 1993. <br />
