<br />WHEREAS, the County Board of Hall County, Nebraska, finds the vacation
<br />of the above-described roadways to be in the public good, provided that the
<br />right-of-way as described above remains in and to the County of Hall,
<br />Nebraska, . and provided further that the owners of real estate abutting the
<br />above described roadways, and the heirs,successors, and assigns of said
<br />owners, be permitted to make reasonable use of said right-of-way for
<br />ingress and egress into said abutting real estate.

<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Board of Hall County,
<br />Nebraska, that the above-described roadways be hereby vacated with the
<br />right-of-way remaining in the County of Hall, Nebraska, subject to the right
<br />of the owners of the real estate which abuts said roadways, and their heirs,
<br />successors and assigns, to make reasonable use of said right-of-way for
<br />ingress and egress to said abutting real estate.

<br />Quandt discussed with Deputy Attorney and Board Members about the floor and
<br />roof at the weed building on West Second Street.
<br />
<br />Ken King, Preferred Mail Services spoke with Board about the services provided
<br />Also present were County Assessor, County Treasurer, Register of Deeds, Office
<br />representative from Probation Office, Public Works Director, County Clerk and
<br />County Board Assistant. Discussion on the services offered compared to the
<br />mail metering machine formerly used by county which new system had been pro-
<br />posed by Business Office Systems. Assessor, Treasurer, Register of Deeds and
<br />Clerk spoke in favor of Preferred Mail Service. No one spoke opposing the
<br />services provided.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to leave mail service with Preferred
<br />Mail Service as now being handled. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Leslie absent. Motion carried.

<br />County Board Assistant to send letter to Scott Erickson, Business Office
<br />Systems.
<br />
<br />Annual report to State Board of Public Roads Classifications and Standards was
<br />presented. Dan Hostler, Public Works Director explained reports.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to accept the Roads Classications
<br />and Standards Certification and authorize Chairman to sign. Abernethy,
<br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with
<br />Leslie absent. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />State of Nebraska contract and bond covering the work awarded to Diamond
<br />Engineering Co of Grand Island for Project No BRS-2255(l) was presented for
<br />approval. Hostler, Public Works Director reported this is the bridge by
<br />Tom Wieck's place.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to approve and authorize Chairman
<br />to sign the contract as presented. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Leslie absent. Motion carried.

<br />Discussed the letter and proposal from Nebraska Machinery Co to trade the
<br />Caterpillar 950F Wheel Loader with 850 hours for a new 1993 Caterpillar 950F
<br />series II Wheel Loader with standard equipment ~lus equipped with options.
