<br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, SEPTEMBER 14, 1993
<br />
<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session
<br />~ and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding.
<br />
<br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman,
<br />Margaret Landis, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Absent was Robert Leslie.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Abernethy.
<br />
<br />Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of September 7th meeting were accepted as received. Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Leslie absent.
<br />Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. He presented written
<br />copies of the Pre-Determination Settlement between Nebraska Equal Opportunity
<br />Commission, Brenda Esquitin vs Hall County case. Janulewicz recommended
<br />approval of the settlement.
<br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Stelk to approve the Pre-Determination
<br />Settlement presented and authorize chairman to sign. Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Leslie
<br />absent. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Resolution was presented in regard to vacating portions of certain County
<br />Roads in Hall County, known as Loup River Road and also Engleman Road.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to adopt Resolution #1516 as
<br />presented. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes,
<br />none voted no, with Leslie absent. Motion carried.

<br />A RESOLUTION VACATING PORTIONS OF CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the County Board of Hall County, Nebraska, was
<br />requested by various persons to consider the abandonment or vacation of
<br />two portions of county roads within Hall County, Nebraska, to-wit:

<br />Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Section One (1),
<br />Township Twelve (12) North, Range Eleven (11) West of the
<br />6th P.M., Hall County, Nebraska, thence easterly along the
<br />section line four and one-fourth (4 1/4)miles to the Northeast
<br />Corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section Three (3),
<br />Township Twelve (12) North, Range Ten (10) West of the 6th
<br />P.M., Hall County, Nebraska, said right-of-way being the
<br />Northerly 33 feet of the above describe'd Section, known as
<br />Loup River Road; and
<br />
<br />Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Section Three (3),
<br />Township Twelve (12) North, Range Ten (10) West of the 6th
<br />P.M., Hall County, Nebraska, thence southerly along the
<br />Section line to the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter
<br />of Section Three (3), Township Twelve (12) North, Range Ten
<br />(10) West of the 6th P.M., Hall County, Nebraska, said right-of-
<br />way being 33 feet each side of said Section line, known as
<br />Engleman Road; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to such request and by resolution of the Hall County
<br />Board, the Hall County Public Works Director was directed to make a study
<br />of the uses made of said roads and submit his findings in writing the County
<br />Board; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the County Public Works Director completed said study and
<br />reported his findings to the County Board of Hall
<br />County, Nebraska, and on the 27th day of July, 1993, a public hearing on
<br />said findings and the proposal to vacate or abandon the above-described
<br />portions of county roads was held. Following said public hearing the above
<br />described road were offered for relinquishment by the County Board to the
<br />townships within which said road are located; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the townships within which the aforesaid roads are located have
<br />given notice that they reject the offer of the County of Hall for the
<br />relinquishment of said roads to the townships; and
