PUBLIC HEARING: To consider the abandonment or vacation of two <br />portions of county roads known as Loup River Road and portion of Engleman <br />Road. <br />Affidavit of publication was presented as publiShed in Grand Island <br />Independent on June 6, 13 and 20, 1993. <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Abernethy to open Public Hearing. Abernethy <br />Landis, Leslie~ Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Frauen and <br />Hartman absent. Motion carried. <br />There were 10 people present in audience during the hearing. <br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director reported they had sent letters to all <br />adjacent landowners. Portions of road being considered is 4 1/2 miles on Loup <br />River Road on Howard - Hall County line and 1/2 mile south on Section 3 & 4. <br />Those present and speaking were Leonard Mostek, Chairman of Howard County <br />I Board; Roger Lubbe, landowner on Howard County line; John McElroy, landowner <br />on Howard County line who had requested road be closed; Elmer Pollock, land- <br />owner and Jack Niemoth landowner one mile off Loup River Road. <br />Letter was received and read from Robert E Ambrose who lives in Camas, <br />Washington but owns land on Hall-Howard County line road. <br /> <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Leslie to close the Public Hearing. Abernethy <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and St7lk voted yes, none voted no, with Frauen and <br />Hartman absent. Motion carrJ.ed. <br /> <br />Public Hearing closed at approximately 10:30 a.m. <br />
