<br />Attorney Janulewicz and County Treasurer Mason returned to meeting and reported
<br />on phone call to Attorney Pigsley in regard to the CWA contract.

<br />Supervisors Hartman and Frauen were excused from meeting at 11:45 a.m. after
<br />phone call in regard to flood waters in south part of Hall County.
<br />
<br />Continued audit of monthly claims.

<br />Personnel committee meeting at 1:15 p.m. today.

<br />Returned to regular session at 1:30 p.m. Present were Abernethy, Hartman,
<br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk. Absent was Frauen.

<br />David Bass, Regional Coordinator of Mid Nebraksa Individual Services gave
<br />report on services provided in 23 counties with 352 clients. Discussion
<br />with questions from Board members and answered by Mr. Bass.
<br />
<br />Bill Bean, Weed Control Superintendent spoke in regard to the mosquito bis-
<br />quits purchased and being placed in county road areas. He recommended puttiUg
<br />on hold until quits raining and water not running since they are to be used in
<br />standi~g water. Board members approved.
<br />
<br />Joel Dalton, Hall County Correction Director: reported the jail was fully
<br />inspected this_morning and will receive;-~report later. He reported jail
<br />inmates have been__helping with sandbagging, and work release is working very
<br />well.

<br />Grand Island Mayor Dobeshi-br6ug}lf-llQcal~disaster declaration for signature.

<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Leslie to place as emergency item and be added
<br />to today's agenda the disaster declaration. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes,non@voted no, with Frauen absent. Motion

<br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Landis to authorize chairman to sign the local
<br />disaster declaration as presented by Mayor Dobesh. Abernethy, Hartman,
<br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Frauen absent.

<br />Discussion on claims being audited. Several were clarified and County Court
<br />claim for witness fees & mileage questioned. Following phone call to County
<br />Court, determined to pay claim to County Court this month and they issue
<br />checks same as before and will work on solution before next month.
<br />
<br />Probation Officer Carrol Brown and his assistant Patti returned to meeting
<br />with figures and information requested by board members.
<br />
<br />Discussion claims audited.
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Leslie to approve claims as audited, except
<br />hold County Treasurer's office salary claims until Thursday morning to see
<br />if get letter from CWA officials. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie and
<br />Stelk_voted yes, Quandt voted yes on all claims except Hostler and Kaufman
<br />salary claims. Frauen was absent. Motion carried.

<br />County Treasurer report on unpaid real estate taxes and special assessments
<br />in Hall County for year 1991 and prior years which are delinquent and which
<br />were not sold for want of bidders at last annual public tax sale held in
<br />March 1993,was presented.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to accept and place on file the
<br />County Treasurer delinquent tax report as presented. Abernethy, Hartman,
<br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Frauen absent.
