<br />tj 3;::- c::( /3 <br /> <br />f'^ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, JULY 20, 1993 <br /> <br />I The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Margaret Landis, <br />Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt, and Tammie Stelk. Absent was Richard Hartman. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of July 13th meeting were approved as received, on motion by Frauen, <br />seconded by Stelk. Abernethy, Frauen, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted <br />yes, none voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. He presented addendumc <br />with CQnsolidated Management Co agreement for food service at Jail facility. <br />and explained the changes (1) rates for food service remains same cost as <br />last year, (2) Consolidated will discontinue. concession supplies to the inmates <br />effective Atigust 27, 1993 (3) Cons.olrdatea~ill discontinu~upayment to Hall <br />County for montbly or quarterly basis ~.term. of a:gi'eem~nt jshall be for one <br />year beginning July 1, 1993 (5)Hall County to prov1de-all supplies necessary <br />for operations of food services. Janulewicz recommends approving the <br />agreement. <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Frauen to approve and authorize chair- <br />man to sign the addendum to agreement with Consolidated Management Co for one <br />year. Abernethy, Frauen, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none <br />voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Attorney Janulewicz presented agreement wi th SociaJ__~~rvice Department for <br />Child Suppo'rt enforcement for 3 years, with State. for'reimbursement for child <br />support and incentive payments. No changes were made in the agreement. <br />Janulewicz recommended the County Board approve the agreement. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Frauen to approve and authorize chairman <br />to sign the child support enforcement agreement for year with State Social <br />Service Department. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Janulewicz reported on <br />for ambulance services <br />Motion by Leslie, <br />for next Tuesday, July <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt <br /> <br />negotiations on agreement with City -o~ Grand <br />for 5 years. <br />seconded by Frauen the agreement be <br />27th meeting for full discussion. <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Island <br /> <br />placed on agenda <br />Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Commenced audit of monthly claims. <br /> <br />( <br />Supervisor Frauen was excused from meeting to attend. a 10:00 a.m. meeting,-with <br />officials in regard to floodwaters in area. <br /> <br />Discussion on Keno Administrator Salary. Requested claim be submitted for <br />Attorney Janulewicz for his last year's work on keno for $3600.00 <br /> <br />Continued audit of monthly claims. <br /> <br />Supervisor Frauen returned to meeting at 11:00 A.M. with Public Works Director <br />Dan Hostler. Hostler reported meeting with City on water problems. <br /> <br />County Treasurer Doris Mason was called to meeting in regard to salary claims <br />for her office employees. She reported had submitted claims for 27 cents <br />hour instead of 25 cents as her employees had requested to withdraw from the <br />CWA membership. Attorney Janulewicz was present and also 3 employees from <br />the County Treasurer's office. Janulewicz and County Treasurer to make <br />phone call to Attorney Pigsley in regard to salary question. <br />Supervisor Hartman arrived at meeting at 11:15 a~m. during salary discussion. <br />Public-Works Director Hostler reported on four resolutions approved at NACo <br />Convention in Chicago. <br /> <br />Probation Officer was called to meeting in regard to claim submitted on <br />maintenance contract for copy machine. Carroll Brown, Probation Officer <br />and Assistant Patti were present. Requested obtaining information and <br />return to update the board members. <br /> <br />Tim Schimmer, Hall County resident spoke with <br />water at his place south of Grand Island.
