To consist of 35 single family residential <br />lots each containing 20,000 square feet or more and two lake outlots. Also <br />suggested the name for Lola Lane should be renamed Lola Drive to minimize a <br />street name conflict,with Zola Lane. <br />The Regional Planning Commission recommended the County Board approve <br />the preliminary study and approve the street name change from Lbla Lane to <br />Lola Drive. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to approve the preliminary Study <br />of Twin Lakes Subdivision and authorize resolution be oreoared to rename Lola <br />Lane to Lola Drive. Abernethy, Frau.en, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, <br />Hartman voted no, with :Gandis'ansent. Motion ,carried on 5 yes, 1 no" 1 absent. <br /> <br />Three final plats were presented for approval. Luehr Subdivision located on <br />the west side of Burwick Road approximately 1/2 mile south of Cedarview Road. <br />Simonson Subdivision located on the north side of Chapman Road immediately <br />east of Engleman Road. Grandpa's Acres Subdivision located on the east side <br />of U. S. Highway 281 approximately 800 feet north of Airport Road. <br />Nelson Helm, ~egional Planning Director explained the reasons for the <br />three subdivisions and the Planning Commission recommended County Board approve <br />the three final plats as submitted. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to approve and authorize chairman <br />to sign final plats for Luehr Subdivision, Simonson Subdivision and Grandpa's <br />Acres Subdivision as submitted. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Landis absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />Recessed for Board of Equalization at 10:08 A.M. and returned to regular <br />session at 10:10 A.M. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> <br />1. State of Nebraska Department of Roads in regard to allocation of Federal <br />Surface Transportation Program (STP) Funds in counties. <br /> <br />2. from Senator Dan Fisher in regard to news report of the Locust Street <br />interchange status. <br /> <br />3. Commerce Bank of Kansas City, Missouri in regard to tax exempt lease pur- <br />chase financing available to county from a local midwestern financial <br />institution. <br /> <br />4. US Dept of Commerce Bureau of Census report for City of Grand Island and <br />Center Township. <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Stelk that copies of these reports be sent <br />to Election Commissioner and also Regional Planning. Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Landis absent. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. Letter from Connie & Del Anderson, 1616 Post, Grand Island expressing their <br />interest in getting a hike/bike trail along the railroad or along the Wood <br />River. (Board Assistant to send reply, this is City not County) <br /> <br />6. State of Nebraska Department of Roads in regard to three approved projects <br />for State Aid bridge funds for project BRO-7040(18) Wood River Southwest; <br />Project BRO-7040(19) Wood River West and Project BRO-7040(20) AIda East. <br />
