Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, and Stelk voted <br />yes, none voted no, with Landis absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Hartman reported a meeting to be next week in Kearney for Mid Nebraska Indivi- <br />dual Services. <br /> <br />Frauen - none <br /> <br />Abernethy - none <br /> <br />Leslie reported on Criminal Justice Committee meeting for selection of the <br />Correction Director and the procedure they followed. He presented the <br />following written committee recommendation. <br /> <br />The Criminal Justice Committee recommends the Hall County <br />Board of Supervisors authorize Committee Member Robert <br />Leslie to offer the Corrections Director position to Joel B. <br />Dalton. of Lake Dallas, Texas, and negotiate a salary in the <br />range of $35,000 to $40,000 plus moving expenses. <br /> <br />aJosu.:r- <br />Committee Chair Margaret Landis <br /> <br /> <br />ethy <br /> <br />Committee <br /> <br />~~~IIl'_ S.h'\). ~ <br />Committee Member Tammie Stelk <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to accept the committee recommendation <br />and offer the Co~rection Director position to Joel B. Dalton. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with <br />Landis absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />Stelk reported she plans to attend Senior Citizens Industries meeting and also <br />Visitors Bureau meeting later this week. She had also made tour of buildings <br />served by the new janitorial services. She stated the new security system <br />in courthouse guard stated 350 to 400 people go thru system each day. <br /> <br />Leslie reported Krause r06finghad made repairs on courthouse roof and with <br />last heavy snow was no leaking. <br /> <br />Hartman stated the ceiling tiles in offices needs to be repaired. He will <br />tell Ken Bly to get ahold of Rick Stepanek and see what can be worked out to <br />get them cleaned. <br /> <br />Quandt reported he attended Industrial Foundation Meeting, Waste Management <br />meeting, Weed Authority meeting this past week and will attend Senior Citizens <br />Industries meeting Wednesday night. <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant report (1) Jack Mills response to county <br />hiring a lobbyist for legislation sessions (2) Vision Mart in regard to dis- <br />count for county employees(she to have Deputy County Attorney review materials <br />before a decision will be made) 3. update report on flooding in Hall County <br />area (4) Nebraska Equal Opportunity meetings will be held in County Board <br />meeting room this Wednesday and Thursday. (5) Criminal Justice Committee to <br />meet with Sheriff today after meeting (6) Central Nebraska District County <br />Officials Meeting in Kearney March 18, 1993 and needed to make reservations <br />for those planning to attend (7) reported Seward County Supervisor James <br />Fowler had died <br /> <br />11:00 A.M. Receive bids for 2 dump trucks for highway <br />vit of publication was available. Read from notice <br />stated it had been published on Febraury 26, March 3, <br />Island Independent. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Abernethy to open bids received. <br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, <br />Landis absent.
