Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. RESOLUTION #~~ WHEREAS, the County of Hall, Nebraska, by and through its County Board of Supervisors, desires to reach an agreement with the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, for the operation .of a keno game, as permitted by the Nebraska County and City Lottery Act, within the City of Grand Island; and WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island, by and through its City Council and the Honorable Mayor Ernest Dobesh, has by resolution expressed its willingness to permit the operation by the County of Hall of a keno game within the City upon the conditions that the County contract solely with one operator for the conduct of such game within the City of Grand Island and, subject to the approval by the county and city of an operator's contract, that the contract operator of such game be Fonner Keno, Inc., a wholely owned subsidiary of the Hall County Agricultural Society, Inc. , a Nebraska non-profit corporation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Board of Hall County, Nebraska, does hereby authorize and direct Deputy Ha'll County Attorney Jerom E. Janulewicz to represent th.e County of Hall in discussions and negotiations with representatives of the City of Grand Island and Fonner Keno, Inc., for the purpose of developing a proposed agreement with the City of Grand Island and a proposed contract with Fonner Keno, Inc., for the conduct of a keno game, including, but not limited to, the distribution of keno proceeds . 'and the initiation, selection, and functioning of satellite keno operations; that any such proposed agreement and contract shall not be binding upon the County of Hall unless approved by the County County Board of Hall County; and that Mr. Janulewicz be authorized to select from this board a county supervisor to assist him and to consult with during the course of said discussions and negotiations.
