Supervisor Leslie reported on his visit with the <br />County Treasurer and he supports the purchase of terminals requested. <br />Landis reported on visit with ,the auditors in regard to the computer terminals <br />and recommends purchase of the terminals requested. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to approve request for the purchase <br />of 2 computer terminals for County Treasurer's office to be purchased from', <br />computer line in miscellaneous general budget. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Supplemental agreement for the remainder of FY-94 for additional funding for <br />cab tickets for Handibus services Project No. RPT-C40l(194) <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Stelk to approve and authorize chair- <br />man to sign the supp'lemental agreement for cab tickets. Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Rick Stepanek, Building & Grounds Maintenance spoke in regard to the under- <br />ground storage fuel tank near back doors of Safety Center. Need to plan to <br />remoVe the tank and put in next year's county budget, estimate cost $18,000. <br />for next year's budget. <br /> <br />Discussion on salaries for non union employees. Supervisor Stelk stated she <br />had, been asked at personnel committee meeting with officials if salary was to <br />be 3% plus step increases or 3% and no step increases. Board members felt <br />should wait until June 14th meeting to discuss. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> <br />1. Letter to Chairman Hartman from Governor Nelson expressing appreciation <br />for participation in World War II Commemorative State Ceremony held in <br />Grand Island and the Hall County Veterans Memorial Park was ideal location. <br /> <br />2. Letter from County Treasurer Doris Mason in regard to Air Carriers Property <br />Tax refunds for 1989 and 1990 and copy of letter from Executive Director <br />Nebraska Association of County Officials for information. <br /> <br />3. Letter from Administrator Sonna Holmes, South Central District Social <br />Services in regard to acquiring different space for their department housed <br />at 116 South Pine and would like to be included in the planning. <br /> <br />4. Letter from State Senator Ardyce Bohlke in regard to County Board's letter <br />of concern on littering on county roads. <br /> <br />5. Letter from Family Vision Ministries, Inc, in regard to denial of personal <br />property tax exemption filed in December 1992 and denied by County Board on <br />July 20, 1993. <br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Frauen to refer letter to County Assessor for <br />review. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Ste1k voted yes, <br />Landis voted no. Motion carried on 6 yes, 1 no vote. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to place on file the communications that <br />
