Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie and <br />Ste1k voted yes, Quandt voted no. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Ste1k voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussed claim for Nebraska Furniture Mart $3000.00 for Corrections Depart- <br />ment held from last week's claim audit. <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Leslie to approve payment of claim to <br />Nebraska Furniture Mart for $3000.00 Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, <br />and Ste1k voted yes, Landis and Quandt voted no. Motion carried on 5 yes, <br />2 no vote. <br /> <br />Discussion on survey for County employees picnic. Ste1k reported on number <br />responding. Survey showed most would provide side dishes, chose Sunday and <br />sometime in August. Ste1k had checked two places for price of fried chicken, <br />Hartman and Quandt want to check prices for beef also. Board members decided <br />they would ~urnish meat and beverage and would be paid for by County Board <br />Members and not from county funds. <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant gave weekly report. Had checked on <br />auctioneer for County surplus auction, gave dates available. County Board <br />members set auction date of July 30, with Tom Wieck as auctioneer. <br /> <br />Meeting was recessed at 11:52 a.m. to have lunch with Hall County Housing <br />Authority Board Members~. To return to session at 1:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Returned to regular session at 1:30 p.m. with Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Leslie and Quandt present~ Landis and Ste1k absent. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> <br />1. Letter for request with 19 signatures for speed limit of twenty five <br />miles per hour be established on Bass Road, Rainbo Lake Subdivision. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to refer letter to Public Works Director. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie and Quandt voted yes, none voted no, with <br />Landis and Ste1k absent. Brock in regard to tort claim for Brian <br />Schleicher which was withdrawn effective May 18, 1994 and will proceed <br />to District Court of Hall County. <br /> <br />5.
