<br />J <br /> <br />Gff /' -' /s-~ <br /> <br />.r <br />~"'<A <br />\f~ <br />~~ The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />~~ and by published call with Chairman Richard Hartman presiding. <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, MAY 24, 1994 <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie and Gary Quandt. Tammie Stelk arrived later. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Steve Warriner, Abundant Life Christian Center. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of May 17th meeting were accepted as received, on motion by Quandt, <br />seconded by Frauen. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie and Quandt <br />voted yes, none voted no, Stelk was not present. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorneys Jerom Janulewicz and Mark Young were present. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to recess for Executive Session to <br />discuss FOP negotiations, CWA negotiations and EOC complaint. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session at 9:03 a.m. During FOP discussion, Sheriff Arnett, <br />Chief Deputy Jan Steeple and Office Manager Bonnie Arnold were present with <br />Mark Young. They left meeting and Jerom Janulewicz presented negotiations <br />for CWA.. <br />Returned to regular session at 9;59 a.m. on motion by Quandt, seconded by <br />Frauen. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted <br />yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10:00 BID OPENING on Asphaltic Concrete Surfacing Projects C40(245) Engleman <br />Road - 1 mile; C40(263) Schimmer Road - 1 mile; C401262) North Road- 1 mile; <br />C40(265) Wildwood Road - 517 feet. <br /> <br />Affidavit of Publication was presented as published in Grand Island Independent <br />on May 6, May 13th & May 20th, 1994. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Leslie to open bids received. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted y~s, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session at 10:11 a.m. and returned to regular session at 10:38 a.m. <br />on motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Commission Director gave quarterly report. <br /> <br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director reported on bids opened this morning and <br />recommendation is for Gary Smith Construction $228,958.35. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to authorize awarding the bids <br />to Gary Smith Construction $228,958.35 and authorize chairman to sign cont- <br />racts. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted <br />yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hostler had given each board member a copy of maps in regard to dewatering <br />plan at Ordnance Plant. <br />
