<br />~ space in courthouse. Family Violence Coalition Director had offered the use
<br />of one room off of their office space in lower level our courthouse if County

<br />Discussion on the proposed advertisement for Third Tier Court Appointed
<br />Counsel request for proposals to be received by 5:00 p.m on March 14,1994
<br />and open and consider at regular County Board meeting on March 15, 1994 at
<br />1:30 p.m. Legal ad to be placed in Grand Island Independent, newspapers
<br />in Cairo, Doniphan, Wood River, St Paul, Central City and Hastings.
<br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Quandt to place ad to receive bids
<br />for court appointed counsel in newpapers discussed. Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion
<br />carried.

<br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant weekly report: Picture frames for
<br />pictures in County Board Room (decided to purchase 40 frames so all would
<br />be same (2) cracks in parking lot at Administration building needs repair
<br />(3) new chairs for board room comes in Burgandy color only.

<br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Quandt to place on file the communications
<br />received today. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and
<br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Charles Kaufman, County Parks Superintendent presented proposal for tree
<br />planting and set date to-receive bids for trees and also copy of proposed
<br />specifications prepared. Discussion followed.

<br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Quandt to approve placing ad forbids to purchase
<br />trees, requestiong one price for trees planted and one price for trees not
<br />planted. Discussion followed and Landis offered amendment to remove from
<br />specs~the .quantity of trees and list to bid equal number of the listed trees.
