Mot1on carr1ed. <br /> <br />3\ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />The following County Park Committee recommendation was read: <br /> <br />The Ball County Park Committee recommends the Board of <br />Supervisors approve the expenditure of $16,860 for tre7 <br />replacement with $13,488 (80%) of that amount to be pa1d by <br />a grant from the State of Nebraska Department of Roads: the <br />expenditure of $10,434 from the Federal Emergency Mapagemen~ <br />Agency (F.E.M.A.) for grass seed and labor costs: and the <br />expenditure of $5,000 from the Edgar Reynolds Foundation for <br />playground equipment in an area which was damaged by <br />flooding in 1993. Motion carried. <br /> <br />County Park Committee Chairman and Park Superintendent reported starting <br />March 1, 1994 Max Siegel will be placed on full time employment. Salary <br />funds are available in County Park budget. <br /> <br />Recessed for Board of Equalization at 3:11 p.m. and returned to regular <br />session at 4:04 p.m. <br /> <br />Jean Fisher, Register of Deeds spoke to board members in regard a part <br />time employee for over 2 years is now going to be full time for Blue <br />Cross Blue Shield insurance coverage must wait 90 days or be eligible <br />immediately. Board members determined must wait the 90 days 'before <br />eligible for insurance. <br /> <br />Discussed with Fisher, the claim filed for employee, Laura Dexter showing <br />salary, accrued vacation and sick leave due to termination. Fishet~stated it <br />>,was 20 days vacation, none was sick leave. Fisher revised the salary <br />claim. <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Leslie to pay the salary claim as <br />revised. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie and Stelk voted yes~ Landis <br />and Quandt voted no. Motion carried on 5 yes, 2 no vote. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Abernethy reported on Weed Control Authority meeting, She read a letter <br />from Mike Gloor, st Francis Medical Center requesting survey information <br />and she will ask Board Assistant and County Clerk to assist with the survey. <br /> <br />stelk reported on Senior Citizens Industries Meeting, NACO County Board <br />Workshop in Kearney and also Household Hazardous Waste'meeting. <br /> <br />Leslie reported on NIRMA Workshop and Hall County received insurance refund <br />of $23,400.00 which has been deposited in General Fund in County Treasurer!s <br />office. <br /> <br />Chairman Hartman appointed Waste Management ;oCornrni ttee to meet with C' LcMPvl\t' <br />Abernethy, (Chair),,' Stelk and Leslie.
