<br />Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to refer the bids to the
<br />Public Works Department and Committee. The committee will meet
<br />at 1:00 P.M. today. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt,
<br />Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no.

<br />Dale Cox with!NIRMA~presented an update on workmans compensation
<br />insurance. They have been giviD~_traLning on loss control, safty
<br />"audits, def:ensive driving and \alcohol and drug testing. As a risk
<br />manager he aoes an internal review of all open claims on workmans
<br />compensation and property and casuality. They will be presenting
<br />a back injury training program and the ergonomiC:,13P:r:.ogram to all
<br />counties. August 1 is the renewal time for the\NIRMA! con~~~~t.
<br />Hall County will seea):;te>.\:lt a $44,000.00 decrease in the rNIRMA I
<br />premiums this year. N~~; can provide a printout of the workmans
<br />compensation claims for 'Hall County. He will meet with the Safty
<br />Committee August 2 at 9:30 A.M. and also with the department heads
<br />to go over this report.

<br />Larry Nelson with the Grand Island Fire Department presented to the
<br />board a request for a $30,000.00 contribution to purchase a new
<br />rescue truck. The new truck would have a lighting system,it would
<br />be a club cab so it could carry 5 people and would be larger to
<br />haul more rescue equipment. Sheriff James Fosket spoke in favor of
<br />the new rescue truck. This truck~.is used in all of Hall County.

<br />committee. An evening meeting with the various companies will
<br />be set up. This information will be presented to the department
