He <br />stated that his financial status had not changed and did not see <br />why he shouldn't receive the help. He stated he had applied for <br />one job but did not get it. He did give the Department an account <br />of the additional $1,500.00. He stated it was used for personal <br />thiI+asL. Itu was stated that there are jobs available. Exhibit:ll=l <br />was ~'received1 by the board. Stelk made motion and Rosenkotter <br />Sec6nded to-go into executive session. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie <br />Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted; ye~ and none voted no. <br /> <br />2:35 P.M. Recessed into executive session. concerning the appeal. <br /> <br />~ <br />2:50 P.M. Margaret made mot~on and Quandt seconded to return to <br />regular session. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />Rosenkotter made motion and Quandt seconded to move that the board <br />find that the appellant has deprived himself of resources under <br />2-007.04 and that the action to deny the apppellant application be <br />affirmed. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and <br />Stelk voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />The tort claim from Lanny and Beve~lY Robinson was discussed. Deputy <br />Cou~~ Attornye Jerry Janulewicz : mad~ reccommendation to refer to <br />the~ins1iranc~ carrier. Rosenkotter made motion and Leslie seconded <br />to ~eceive! and place on file the tort claim and refer it to our <br />insurance carrier. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />Bill Bean from the Weed Control Authority discussed with the board <br />the problems with the radio system he now has. This system was <br />purchased in 1984 and needs repair. He stated that there had been <br />$16,000.00 budgeted for a new vehicle for this department and a new <br />one had been purchased but the entire amount had not been used. <br />He requested to purchase this radio system from the equipment <br />acquisition fund. Rosenkotter made motion and Landis seconded to <br />purchase the radio system from the equipment acquisition fund. <br />~bernethy, Landis, Leslie,Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and <br />Quandt voted no. <br /> <br />Doris Mason, County Treasurer requested direction from the board <br />concerning the purchase of pledged collateral fort--heCounty. <br />. I i I <br />She was requestJ.ng to purchase Federal Mortgage !~l!L( Quandt made <br />motion and Landis seconded to purchase Federal Mortgage notes but to <br />cap at 180 days. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Resolution :11=1651 was <br />passed by the board to authorize the purchase of United States <br />treasury bills. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />
