<br />COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT: Ellen Merrill had provided written weekly
<br />progress report. She asked direction on the visitor prom~tion ~dvisory
<br />Board resumes as to whether they wished to hold personal lntervlews.
<br />Chair Stelk a~ked that personal interviews be held at next week's meeting.

<br />Quandt - Attended the Sod House society meeting at Stuhr Museum.
<br />
<br />Landis - None
<br />
<br />Hartman - He had been contacted by Kenneth Fegter, representative of Muzzle
<br />Loaders requesting consideration of closing a road north of Cairo
<br />over a week end next May for their meeting. Will need to find out
<br />name of landowners in area. Put on agenda in two weeks for dis-
<br />cussion.

<br />Abernethy: Attended annual meeting of Hall County Historical Society,
<br />Attended State Juvenile Justice meeting.
<br />
<br />Leslie - Attended Stuhr Museum meeting.
<br />
<br />Stelk - Gave report on the Health Board Meeting held last Tuesday evening.
<br />Will meet next Wednesday evening to work on the update for Health
<br />Department employees handbook. Attended the Long Range Planning
<br />meeting of Heartland Grand Island Area, she serves on the Marketing
<br />Committee. Attended Senior Citizen Industries Meeting. Reported
<br />Senior Citizen Industries annual dinner will be October 17th from
<br />5 to 7 p.m., tickets are $4.50
<br />
<br />Leslie - reported he had attended the E.P.C. meeting and he reported on the
<br />reason for increase in costs from $385.00 to $450.00
<br />
<br />Stelk - reported on Stuhr Museum meeting she had attended.
<br />
<br />10:30 A.M. BID OPENING FOR 1997 10 yard dump truck for Road Department.
<br />Affidavit of publication was read as published in Grand Island
<br />Independent, September 27, October 4 and 11. Affidavit stated 10:15 a.m.
<br />but specifications stated 10:30 a.m. so waited until 10:30 in case other
<br />bids may come in.
<br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Hartman to open bids received. Abernethy,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.
