Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RETURNED TO REGULAR BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING at 11:08 a.m. <br /> <br />BOSSELMAN SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT: Gene Brady, Brady Engineering, 112 N. <br />Cedar Grand Island spoke in regard to a Conditonal Use Permit for sewage <br />Lagoon in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 23-10-10 Hall County for Bosselman Travel Center. <br />Have started construction but failed to obtain conditional use permit from <br />Hall County. Plant to be in operation by December 31, 1996 <br />Charles Bosselman, President Bosselman Inc was present at meeting. <br />There were 12 residents of the area present also. <br />Brady requested board to set date and time for public hearing for conditional <br />use permit and also requested permission to continue with construction. <br />Chair Stelk suggested an evening time for public hearing. <br />Discussion followed. Supervisor Landis, Chair of the Conditional Use <br />Committee requested the full County Board make recommendation and to excuse <br />the Committee from making a recommendation. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to set Public Hearing for 7:00 <br />P.M. on Monday October 28th in County Board Meeting Room. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Quandt to hold up construction on the <br />project until after the hearing. Discussion followed. <br />Chuck Bosselman, 2605 Apache, Grand Island spoke. He would accept the <br />stopping of construction on project until after the hearing as wants to see <br />the project is done properly. Following more discussion, Quandt withdrew <br />his second. Leslie seconded the motion and chair called for vote on the <br />motion to hold construction. Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, Abernethy voted no. Motion carried 6n 6 yes, 1 no vote. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Abernethy reported Glendale Reiss called her in regard to holding the Sod <br />House Society meeting at Stuhr Museum and thanked board members for their <br />interest. Supervisor Quandt gave a fine welcome speech on behalf of County <br />Board. <br /> <br />Chair Stelk raised the question about county board meetings due to holidays <br />and asked about meetings for December 24th and December 31st. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to cancell and hold no meetings <br />on December 24th and December 31st, 1996. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Chair Stelk stated she would be on vacation the week of December 16th. <br />Board determined no meeting will be held on December 3rd due to Annual <br />State NACO Convention in Omaha. November 12th is County Government Day <br />for Students and they will conduct no County Board Meeting that day. <br /> <br />Chair Stelk adjourned the meeting at 11:53 A.M. <br />Tuesday, October 22, 1996 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Next meeting will be <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />:?
