9~j:;(cJ/ t RICK STEPANEK ELECTRICAL WORK AT COURTHOUSE: Rick Stepanek with Building and Grounds had a local electrician do a study on the problems at the courthouse. It will be necessary to do major changes. He requested the board's direction on letting it out for bids and if this should be part of the Buildings and Grounds new budget or in the general fund for capital improvements. The work would be done this fall and would not cause an electrical shut down at the courthouse. Abernethy made a motion and Leslie seconded to put the work for electrical improvements at the courthouse out for bids. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. The board will look at the funds for these improvements at budget time. LETTER FROM STATE OF NEBRASKA ON THE TRAFFIC STUDY AT ENGLEMAN AND OLD POTASH ROAD: The State of Nebraska did a traffic study on this intersection because of the number of accidents. The following Public Works Committee recommendation was read: June 10, 1996 PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE REPORT The Public Works Committee recommends that the Hall County Board of Supervisors pass a resolution to establish a 4-way stop sign at the intersection of Old Potash Highway and Engleman Road. /;/' :-;> i V" /' -, S' //. ,/..,y" // ,),~/ .;1 ~/ . Landis made a motion and Hartman seconded to accept the committee's recommendation and place a 4-way stop sign at the intersection of Old Potash Highway and Engleman Road. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. The ordinance was read, dated and signed by all the board members. STATE DEPARTMENT OF ROAD AGREEMENT ON PROJECT BRO(7040) 24 CAIRO SE: The agreement with the State of Nebraska and Hall County on Project BRO(7040) was presented to the board. Leslie made a motion and Abernethy seconded to authorize the Chair to sign the agreement. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. The public Works Committee Report on the purchase of a new 1996 Ford pickup was read: June 10, 1996 PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE REPORT The Public Works Committee recommends the Hall County Board of Supervisors accept the State Bid of Anderson Ford for 1 new 1996 Ford W35 XLT, Crew Cab, 4X4 pickup for $27,204.00.
