PUBLIC HEARING--CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR PRAIRIE <br />STATES BROADCASTING INC.: Stelk read from a letter prairie <br />States Broadcasting General Manager Tom Robsen wrote to Hall <br />County Building Inspector Max Boersen. Landis reported that the <br />Conditional Use Permit Committee had no problem with issuing this <br />permit contingent upon approval from the Federal Aviation <br />Administration. Robsen addressed the Board and asked for <br />permission to construct this tower. The issue was discussed'. At <br />9:35 a.m. Abernethy made a motion which was seconded by Landis to <br />close the public hearing. Quandt, Landis, Hartman, Stelk,' <br />Leslie, Abernethy, and Rosenkotter voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. Landis made a motion which was seconded by <br />Rosenkotter to approve the conditional use permit pending <br />approval from the F.A.A. Qucndt, Landis, Hartman, Stelk, Leslie, <br />Abernethy, and Rosenkotter voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />(CONTINUED) RON SCHIERLING--NEW ALDA LOUNGE: Stelk asked that <br />this matter be placed on the agenda for next week. <br /> <br />CONSERVATION EASEMENT AND ZONING OVERLAY: Janulewicz addressed <br />the Board. Rosenkotter made a motion which was seconded by <br />Abernethy to rescind the July 5, 1994, motion and replace it with <br />a statement that the County Board will, if need be, condemn by <br />eminent domain to move this project forward. Abernethy said that <br />according to Roberts Rules of Order, the motion must be made by <br />someone who voted on the prevailing side. Stelk asked if she, as <br />Chair, could second the motion. Janulewicz said yes. The issue <br />was discussed. <br /> <br />Grand Island City Attorney Charles Cuypers discussed the zoning <br />overlay which limits future use of the property in 500 acres. <br />The issue was discussed.
