The Hall County Board of Supervisors met February 13 at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session and by published call in the County Board Meeting Room, Administration Building, 121 South pine Street, Grand Island, Nebraska. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chair Tammie Stelk. INVOCATION: The invocation was g~ven by Supervisor Irene Abernethy. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was given. " ROLL CALL: Present on Roll Call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt, Judy' Rosenkotter, and Tammie Stelk. MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 6 MEETING: The minutes of the February 6 meeting were received. Abernethy asked that the reference to Mid-Plains be changed to Mid-Nebraska in Hartman's comments during Board Members' Reports. Rosenkotter made a motion which was seconded by Abernethy to approve the minutes as corrected, the office reports, and the communications on consent agenda. Quandt, Landis, Hartman, Stelk, Leslie, Abernethy, and Rosenkotter voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz distributed a copy of the statute and Board's scope of authority regarding Sunday sales of liquor. He discussed Resolution #1005 which was passed on September 23, 1987. RON SCHIERLING--NEW ALDA LOUNGE: Schierling, 1217 West Fifth Street in Grand Island, addressed the Board. He said he represents R.O.S. Incorporated d.b.a. the New Aida Lounge. Schierling distributed a letter from Linda Morse of Wing's Restaurant and Lounge; a letter from Melvin Wichman of the Interstate Holiday Inn; Resolution #1005; a copy of the minutes from the Board's October 22, 1987, meeting; a copy of Section 53- 179 of the Nebraska Liquor Control Ac~; a list of the license holders within Hall County's jurisdiction; a list of hours for alcoholic beverage sales in other jurisdictions of Hall County; and information regarding traffic counts. He said two license holders were unable to be present today and submitted letters. The letters from Morse and Wichman were read. Schierling said the four license holders under the Board's jurisdiction want the time alcoholic beverages can be sold on Sundays changed from 6 p.m. to noon.
