9'''~ eJ~/ Irene Abernethy reported on the Region III Advisory Board Meeting. The Chairman of this board is Dr. Bird. He stated one of his concerns is the number of EPC cases in this region. He expressed a need for support groups and half-way houses for people. The Region III serves 22 counties with headquarters in Grand Island, serving 12 counties. and Kearney, serving 10 counties. The public hearing for the proposed One and Six Year Road Program is to be set. Rosenkotter made a motion and Leslie seconded to set the public hearing for February 13, at 10:00 A.M. Quandt questioned the proposed blacktoping using Keno funds. Hartman presented the following Public Works Committee Report. They recommended setting the public hearing for February 20, 1996, at 7:00 P.M. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 9:30 Quandt made a motion and Leslie seconded to go into a Board of Equalization meeting. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 9:35 Quandt made a motion and Rosenkotter seconded to go out of a Board of Equalization. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. Public Participation - Ron Schierling, owner of RDS Inc. the New AIda Lounge, requested to be on the agenda for February 13 concerning the hours set by the county to serve alcoholic beverages. This will need to be reviewed by the county attorney. Abernethy made a motion and Rosenkotter seconded to refer this to the county attorney for review. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. Quandt made a motion and Rosenkotter seconded to open bids for the janitorial services. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. The following bids were received and read.
