There were 2 times the jail was <br />flooded. Stepanek wants to install quick close valves and have <br />the corrections officers able to shut off the water in an emergency. <br />Stepanek received only one bid from preisendorf Plumbing and has <br />contacted other companies to place a bid. This will be discussed <br />again on January 16. Questions were addressed to Stepanek concerning <br />the emergency calls. The boiler problems that were mentioned in a <br />letter from Joel Dalton were discussed. Stepanek stated that it was <br />a mechanical failure and Honeywell responded immediatly. Landis <br />requested that a thank-you letter be sent to Carl Merritt for his <br />help at the jail. Questions were addressed to Stepanek conceming <br />emergency calls to Building and Grounds. <br /> <br />The request for bids for the janitorial services for the Administration <br />Building, Social Services Building and the Court House was discussed. <br />Questions were addressed to Stepanek concerning the cost of having <br />a full-time janitor doing 2 buildings. He is to provide this information <br />to the board for January 16. Discussion was held. <br />
