<br />~1;:: ~/5 <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Chairman Long called for public <br />participation and Corrections Director Joel Dalton requested to <br />speak. He read a letter dated 1883 concerning the request for a <br />metal cage for prisoners. The letter was found in the County <br />Clerk's office and Dalton is going to have it framed. <br /> <br />APPROVE FINAL PLAT FOR THOMAS FARMS SUBDIVISION: Landis made a <br />motion and Quandt seconded to approve the final plat for Thomas <br />Farms Sub. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ON CLOSING COUNTY OFFICES ON DECEMBER 26: Stelk stated <br />she requested to have this item on the agenda. Other counties <br />are closing and the governor declared it a holiday and closed the <br />state offices but the City will be open and the County has a <br />number of holidays that other people don't. Also the County <br />closes early on December 24, so she feels it is important to be <br />open. Landis stated she supported the building be open and <br />Hartman stated it was to late to change now. Abernethy stated she <br />preferred to close the office. <br />10:22 a.m. PUBLIC HEARING FOR ALDA LOUNGE AMUSEMENT LICENSE: <br />Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to open the public <br />hearing for the AIda Lounge Amusement license. Abernethy. <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />No one appeared in opposition to the license. Mr. Ron Scherling, <br />owner of the New AIda Lounge, was present. <br /> <br />Hartman made a motion and Stelk seconded to close the public <br />hearing. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hartman made a motion and Stelk seconded to approve the Amusement <br />License for New AIda Lounge. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR BAASCH AND DINGWERTH: Stelk made a motion <br />and Lancaster seconded to go into executive session and include <br />the spouses of Kathy Baasch and Donna Dingwerth concerning <br />personnel issues. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />10:30 a.m. Executive Session <br /> <br />11:05 a.m. Hartman made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go out <br />of executive session.
