Hartman made a motion and Landis seconded <br />to approve the claim for Mid-America. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and <br />none voted no. Motion carried <br /> <br />" <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING FOR MANAGERS LICENSE FOR CINDY KUHN <br />BOSSELMAN"S PUMP & PANTRY: Stelk made a motion and Lancaster <br />seconded to set the public hearing for the managers license <br />for Cindy Kuhn for December 9, 1997, at 10:00 a.m. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted <br />yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />TRACTOR BIDS: Dan Hostler, Public Works Director, returned with <br />the results from the bid opening on the two tractors. Third <br />City New Holland was the successful bidder on tractor #1 in <br />the amount of $53,400.00, and on tractor #2 Toner's was the <br />successful bidder in the amount of $24,640.00 with a total of <br />$78,040.00. Hartman made a motion and Landis seconded to accept <br />the low bids with a total of $78,040.00. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: Abernethy made a motion and Stelk seconded to <br />accept communications and place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD SECRETARY REPORT: Lisa Hagen, board secretar~ <br />reminded the board members to turn in their personnel reports. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS: Quandt - He attended the Senior <br />Citizens meeting. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended the Mid-Plains meeting and stated that the <br />application for the girls home was turned down. <br /> <br />Stelk - She attended a computer committee meeting last Tuesday, a <br />CVB board meeting the 4H awards presentation at Fonner Park where <br />the County was given an award, Heartland Vision, the salary work <br />study meeting, and she will be attending a long range planning <br />meeting on Friday. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the computer committee meeting, the CVB <br />meeting, the salary work study, the safety committee meeting, <br />senior citizens meeting and reported that the cab ticket <br />procedure is working well and the State is going to use it in <br />Madison County, and reported that Jerry Janulewicz is working on <br />clarification on purchasing. She will have an ADA meeting at noon <br />today. <br /> <br />Abernethy - She attended the same salary work study meetings, the <br />Head Start meeting, the CVB committee that is working on the <br />contract, the 4H meeting at Fonner Park, the Crisis Center <br />banquet and was asked to speak at Midland Area Agency on Aging. <br />
