Janulewicz
Deputy Hall County Attorney

PROVIDE NOTICE OF NON-RENEWAL AND SET UP COMMITTEE TO REVIEW
CONTRACTS: The contract with Convention and Visitors Bureau has
an automatic renewal clause for one year. If the County Board
wants to renegotiate or change the terms, there is a 30 day
notice to change the contract and 90 days to negotiate the
changes~ if the changes are not agreed upon then the contract
would be renewed for one year. This contract has not been
reviewed since 1987. Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded
to sent the notice of non-renewal and have the committee look at
making changes. The committee consists of Irene Abernethy,
Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis and Tammie Stelk. Hartman
stated he did not agree with Stelk being on the committee because
of her job. Stelk stated even though she serves on the C.V.B.
board she is not a voting member. She has a letter from Nebraska
Accountability and Disclosure stating she does not have a
conflict of interest. Abernethy and Lancaster stated they felt
Stelk would be an asset to the committee. Landis stated this
would be a rough draft and it would be up to the full board to
make a decision. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long,
Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion
carried.

EXECUTIVE SESSION: Lancaster made a motion and Abernethy seconded
to hold executive session on the public defender's organization
litigation.
