91 f'C) J1 i ~ HALL COUNTY BOARD OB SUPERVISORS MEETING AUGUST 19, 1997 The Hall County Board of supervisors met from adjourned session and by published call August 19, 1997, at 9:00 a.m. in the County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey Long. ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Also present were news media representatives from KRGI and the Grand Island Independent. MINUTES OF THE AUGUST 12 MEETING: Stelk made a motion by consent agenda to accept and place on file the minutes of the August 19 meeting, accept the conditional use committee report, set the date and time for the public hearing for the conditional use permit for Jerry Dimmitt for September 2, 1997, at 10:30 a.m., to set the public hearing for the county budget for August 26, 1997, at 10:00 a.m., to set the date and time for the public hearing to exclude property from an industrial tract both owner for 'September 16, 1997, at 10:00 a.m., and to change the time for the bid opening for the tower building to 9:45 a.m. because of a conflict and accept and place on file the office reports of the Register of Deeds and the statistical reports of the Hall County Health Department and the Hall County Attorne>> and to approve Resolution #97-0059 for outside counsel. Quandt and Hartman questioned the consent agenda motion. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. Rev. Stat. 23-3108 and ~ 13-1801 or when ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction, the Hall County Board of Supervisors shall not approve payment of fees to legal counsel for legal services provided to any county offici~l or employee unless retention of such counsel was approved by the County Board of Supervisors prior to the provision oflegal services. ~ PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS liDAY OF AUGUST, 1997.
