<br />'1'1 ;: /51 <br /> <br />4 . <br /> <br />1, ...' <br /> <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH COOPERATIVE EXTENSION SERVICES: Tom <br />Drudik, Extension Agent, was present to discuss the proposed <br />interlocal agreement for cooperative extension services. This <br />legislation, that was passed last year, will affect consideration <br />on budgets. The county would also make appointments to the <br />extension board. This inter local agreement was referred to <br />Jerry Janulewicz for his review and return to the board. Mr. <br />Drudik stated that this will need to be completed by July 1. <br /> <br />WORK STUDY SESSION TO CONSIDER APPLICATIONS FOR SHERIFF: The <br />applications for the sheriff position will be accepted until <br />May 15, and stelk suggested holding a work study session to <br />review the applications. Discussion was held. Stelk made a <br />motion and Lancaster seconded to hold a work study session May <br />19, at 7:00 p.m. to review the applications. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long and Stelk all voted yes and Quandt voted <br />no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />THREE-YEAR LONG RANGE PLAN: Chairman Long suggested that the <br />department heads should include a three-year plan when they <br />work on their budgets. With the upcoming lid restrictions this <br />would be a positive move. Discussion was held on the unfunded <br />liabilities for retiring employees. The audit committee will <br />meet again as soon as Brad Fegley is available. <br /> <br />CANDLE-LIGHT VIGIL FOR CRISIS CENTER: The Crisis Center requested <br />to use the Court House steps for a candle-light vigil. Stelk <br />made a motion and Abernethy seconded to grant permission to <br />the Crisis Center. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to <br />place the comminications on file. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted <br />no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD SECRETARY REPORT: Lisa Hagen, board secretary included <br />her progress report in the board member's packets. She requested <br />that the board members complete the performance evaluation and return <br />them to her. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />Quandt - He attended the Library Board meeting and provided a copy of <br />the bookmobile schedule. <br /> <br />Stelk - She attended joint meeting with the City, County and Health <br />Board. The health director position was offered to Bruce Dart who is <br />currantly with the Lincoln Lancaster Health Department. The Health <br />Board offered him a starting wage of $45,000.00. The computer <br />committee will meet at 12:00 today to go over the specifications and <br />the bid information for the election commissioner's office. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended the Public Works Committee and met with some <br />people from Doniphan. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the Health Board meeting Monday and the Public <br />Works Committee meeting. She will also attend the computer committee <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Abernethy - She attended the NACO Legislative Day and picked up the <br />check from NIRMA for $19,6l2.00/which was Hall County's dividend qheck. <br />She also attended the Central Community College graduation and the <br />Emergency Planning meeting. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the prayer breakfast and the Coalition for <br />Justice Committee meeting. This is a new committee that was formed <br />by the govenor to work on cost efficiency and ideas from the community <br />
