JOHNSON <br />Assistant Superintendent <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE REPORT <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee recommends that the Hall County Board of Supervisors <br />accept the low bid of Contractors Machinery Co. for the amount of$ 101, 984.00 with the <br />trade-in of 1 - 1989 Dresser Loader Model 530A and to have the Hall County Attorney <br />draft a contract with the successful bidder stating that Hall County will pay $95,000.00 <br />upon deliver and the balance to be paid during the month of July. <br /> <br />Il-$~ <br /> <br />Richard Hartman - Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />Daniel 1. Host r <br />Public Works Director <br /> <br /> <br />Hu y Long <br /> <br />A~ Q'l~~ <br />Gary Quanct.t) <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH CITY AND COUNTY ON HEALTH <br />DEPARTMENT: Ellen Totzke, County Attorney was present. Questions <br />were asked concerning the budgeting process and Ellen Totzke stated <br />she would present this information to Deputy County Attorney Jerry <br />Janulewicz for his review. Stelk stated that the health director <br />position was offered to Mr. Bruce Dart. It was suggested that <br />some areas concerning the budgeting matters be addressed and put in <br />writing. Margaret Etheridge answered questions concering the job <br />descriptions and the possibility of doing an internal wage <br />comparability study. <br /> <br />The board members received a letter faxed from G.I. Trailer Sales <br />regarding a case of the State v. Robert Steele. Totzke stated <br />that this a restitution order from the probation office and there <br />iS,a warrant for the arrest. The county attorney's office has <br />responded to the matter. <br /> <br />Hartman questioned Ellen Totzke it she has received a copy of the <br />audit on the sheriff's department and she stated she had and it <br />will be released when the State of Nebraska Auditor of PUblic <br />Accounts makes the information public. <br /> <br />HOWARD MAXON'S UPDATE ON SANDBAG POLICY: Howard Maxon presented <br />the board members with a copy of the currant policy. The additional <br />20,000 sandbags were delivered May 2. He stated that in the March, <br />1993, flood 5,790 sandbags were used and in July, 1996, 27,440 sand- <br />bags were used for private use.
