The State Bar Association contacted an attorney <br />in the various communities and he contacted people to serve on the <br />committee. She also attended the activities at Stuhr Museum. <br /> <br />Long - He attended the public hearings, the audit committee meeting, <br />the prayer breakfast, the Morman Trail activities at Stuhr Museum <br />and the joint City, County and Health Board meeting. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: Abernethy stated a Criminal Justice Committee <br />meeting was to be scheduled for May 9, but the committee will <br />schedule this meeting at a later time when they receive the needs <br />assessment survey. <br /> <br />Quandt reported on the fire protection concerns in the two mile radius. <br />A committee including Quandt as chair, Hartman, Long and Landis will <br />work on this problem. <br /> <br />NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Abernethy requested that the survey on <br />reports from outside agencies be returned and this will be on the <br />May 13 agenda. <br /> <br />Landis reported she received information from CNCS that the grant for <br />Senior Citizens was unsuccessful and they will need to explore other <br />avenues for funding. <br /> <br />ADJOURNED; Meeting was adjourned at 11:22 a.m. The next meeting will <br />be Tuesday, May 13, 1997 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />REMINDER: County Board meetings may be viewed each week on GITV Cable <br />Channel 6 or UHF Channel 56 on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and Friday at <br />8:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />t!1~co2e~nty Clerk <br />
