He answered questions <br />from Board Members. <br /> <br />Supervisor Quandt returned to meeting during discussion. <br /> <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Abernethy, to do the project, put $6000.00 <br />in road budget for the Wood River Project. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN REGARD TO LOAD LIMITS ON WOOD RIVER ROAD - Hostler reported <br />reasons for request for load limits and discussion followed. <br />RESOLUTION #97,,0025 Motion by Stelk, seconded by Landis to adopt Resolution <br />#97-0025 as presented. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9? - tJt) 0. S- <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the operation of heavy trucks and commercial vehicles will seriously <br />damage or destroy the following described highway: <br /> <br />From Highway 11 at the southwest comer of Section Thirty (31), Township <br />Twelve (12) North, Range Eleven (11) West; thence east 10 (ten) miles to Highway 2, <br />commonly referred to as Airport Road and from Highway 11 at the Southwest comer of <br />Section Eighteen (18), Township Ten (10) North, Range Eleven (11) West; thence east <br />two (2) miles to Highway 30, commonly referred to as Wood River Road. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the above described highway is under Hall County's jurisdiction and <br />Hall County is responsible for maintenance of the same, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the residents of Hall County to limit <br />and restrict the weight of vehicles operating on the aforesaid highway. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Hall County Board of Supervisors hereby restricts the <br />weight of trucks' and commercial vehicles on the above described road as follows: <br /> <br />Not to exceed 14,000 lbs. for single axle, 24,000 lbs. for tandem axle and 30,000 <br />lbs. for triple axle. <br /> <br />The Board further directs that violation of this resolution shall be an infraction and <br />the penalty for violation of this Resolution shall be a fine as designated under Section <br />39-6, 184 of the Nebraska Statutes. <br /> <br />The Board further directs the Highway Superintendent of Hall County to erect and <br />maintain signs designating the restrictions set by this Resolution at a minimum at each end <br />of that portion of the highway hereby affected. Such signs are to read as follows: <br /> <br />Roadway Load Restriction <br /> <br />14,000Ibs. Single Axle <br />24,000 lbs. Tandem Axle <br />30,000Ibs. Triple Axle <br /> <br />by Resolution of the County <br />Board of Supervisors <br />Section 39-6, 189 Neb.
