<br /> <br />q7 ;:' - /"t:J /' <br /> <br />Chairman Long reported all seven board members took the jail tour and ate <br />lunch at the facility. <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS - <br /> <br />Landis Attended Audit Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Abernethy - Attended Audit Committee meeting, Head Start meeting, the NACO <br />Central District meeting on Thursday, March 20th. Spoke in regard <br />to LBl085. At Juvenile Justice meeting, Buffalo County Board <br />members would like to meet with Hall County Criminal Justice <br />Committee to discuss detention center. <br /> <br />Hartman Attended Mid Nebrska Individual Service meeting. Gave brief <br />report on meeting. Attended Park Committee meeting. In regard <br />to County Budget he felt needed to hire McDermott & Miller to <br />do the budget this year. <br /> <br />Landis Reported the Audit Committee had discussed hiring McDermott & <br />Miller to do the budget, had reviewed their proposal and have <br />information from others. Committee needs some directions. <br />Requested be placed on agenda for next week's board meeting, the hiring <br />of consultant for budget preparation. <br /> <br />Lancaster - Had Election Committee meeting, She had visited with Dr Horn <br />from Health Department about space at Veterans Administration space <br />for the Health Department. She and Long had attended meeting for <br />new members of the Midland Area Agency on Aging at Senior Citizen <br />Center. Attended a Criminal Justice Committee meeting held this <br />morning. <br /> <br />Abernethy - Gave the following Criminal Justice Committee recommendation. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION OF mE CRIMINAL JUSTICE COMMfITEE <br /> <br />The committee met and agreed with Sheriff Fosket on taking the low informal bids on the <br />following tf3::!:!.J items: <br /> <br />In reference to the storage of vehicles under execution, six bids were received, and the lowest <br />bid was $1,00 per day for inside storage and $0.45 for inside storage from Island Towing. <br /> <br /> <br />The low bid for pager usage was $14 per month., with the other bid being $16,50, <br /> <br />Criminal Justice Committee <br /> <br />J~~ <br />7f:~dL~/ <br />u;!~ <br />Pam Lan ((5 <br />~.(l')Cm, ~ '" r;[) <br />Gary Q dt <br /> <br />Long Attended Paunch Committee meeting, CNCS Open House at new offices <br />in Grand Island. Attended tour with Mayor and others for a trip to <br />Crane Meadows Nature Center, Attended Lunch at Grand Generation <br />Center. He requested permission to look for some new lights for <br />Board room use on desks. <br /> <br />BREAK Called 5 minute break. <br /> <br />RETURNED TO SESSION at 2:03 P.M. Quahdt returned to meeting. Landis and <br />Stelk were absent. <br />Continued discussion on the paunch with George Zahn, Monfort Manager present. <br />He stated they need to clean the lagoon at Monfort first. <br />Discussed (1) Conditional Use Permit (2) Resoltuion. <br />Supervisor Landis returned to meeting at 2:07 p.m. <br />Supervisor Stelk returned to meeting at 2:10 p.m. during discussion. <br />Grand Island Independent reporter Carol Bryant came to meeting at 2:13 p.m. <br />Continued discussion on paunch, Quandt to contact Drudik, Need to place on <br />agenda for next week's meeting if need Conditional Use permit or just a <br />permit required. <br />
