She requested evaluation form for the <br />Correction Director be returned as soon as possible. Advertisement for <br />Bank of Volunteers is being run in 4 area newspapers and GITV. <br />Discussed the advertisement of applications for Keno Funds for fiscal year <br />budget. Determined to send newsreleases to news media on the application <br />and deadline for requesting Keno funds. <br /> <br /> <br />COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION ON SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS FOR ASSESSOR & TREASURER <br />Rick Stepanek, Building & Grounds; County Assessor Jan Pelland and County <br />Treasurer Doris Mason were present. Discussion on the cameras being placed <br />in County Assessor and County Treasurer' offic~ upstairs and downstairs (MV <br />Department) estimated cost $5000.00 for 8 cameras. Discussion on where <br />in budgets funds would come from. Discussed since is shows to be an <br />emergency to pay from Inheritance Fund. As need to be done as soon as possible <br />without delay. Safety Committee had recommended it, but did not have'funding <br />available. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Stelk to approve taking funds for payment <br />from Inheritance fund to pay for cameras for Treasurer and Assessor's offices. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, La.ncaster, Landis, Long and Stelk voted yes, Quandt voted <br />no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: <br /> <br />Quandt - Had Park Committee meeting and presented the following Committee <br />report. <br /> <br />The Parks Committee recommends that Chuck Kaufman only needs to empty the garbage <br />cans at the AIda Site Park for maintenance at this time. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk <br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />PAUNCH COMMITTEE REPORT- Quandt reported on the meeting with 5 or 6 area <br />counties on their meeting last week on the paunch. <br />George Zahn, 916 W Division, General Manager at local Monfort plant <br />spoke in regard to their request. <br />Discussion and comments to refer to committee for recommendation in <br />one week. <br />Motion by Lancaster, seconded by Quandt to appoint Tom Drudik, to be <br />the person in charge of paunch and have plans to be presented to County <br />Board prior to the implementation. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Hartman, that as long as follow permit rules and check with <br />neighbors within 2 mile radius to dump liquid, sludge, manure and paunch. <br />Motion DIED for Lack of Second. <br /> <br />Quandt contact County Attorney for resolution to include liquid, sludge and <br />grit to be applied in regulations, same as in present rules for paunch. <br />No action was taken, would check with County Attorney and Drudik. ' <br /> <br />RECESS - Chairman recessed the meeting at 12:15 p.m. to return to session at <br />1:15 p.m. Board members were to take quarterly jail tour and have lunch <br />at the facility. <br /> <br />RETURNED TO SESSION AT 1:20 P.M. County Board of Supervisors returned to <br />session at 1:20 p.m. with Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis and Long <br />present. Quandt and Stelk were absent. <br />
