Janulewicz, <br />Deputy Hall Comty Attorney <br /> <br />CLAIM HELD FROM LAST WEEK'S CLAIM AUDIT: Attorney Janulewicz spoke in regard <br />to claim for membership in Sam's Club claim referred to him. Questions seems <br />to be membership for non county employees. He suggested holding claim until <br />Committee visits with District Judge Luther in regard to the claim. <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Quandt to have Criminal Justice Committee <br />meet with Judge Luther and return with recommendation and consio.er claim <br />at that time. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />MULTI COUNTY COMMITTEE: Supervisor Quandt spoke in regard to his visit with <br />some supervisors from Howard, Adams, Merrick & Hamilton counties and we need <br />to work together on paunch manure applications. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Stelk to set committee of Hall County Board <br />to work with Howard, Merrick, Adams and Hamilton counties for solution for <br />paunch manure. Discussion followed <br />Dave Barber, Regional Planning Director spoke and referred to his letter <br />dated February 25, 1997. <br />Gary Chamness, Horizon Technology spoke. They have been handling the <br />project for Monfort's for 2 years. He gave a review of their activities and <br />other counties always say if can't land apply in Hall County, why should we <br />allow it in our counties. <br />Question was called for on motion: Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br />Supervisor Landis requested this be placed on agenda for later meeting <br />and suggested 2 weeks time. <br />Chairman Long appointed a committee of Quandt, (Chair) Hartman and Stelk <br />to meet with the four counties listed. <br />Chamness, Horizon Technology spoke again. He stated the County Board <br />Resolution #960028 are standards they can work by. <br /> <br />Chairman called 5 minute break. . Returned to session at 10:12 a.m. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Lisa Katzberg, President of Heatland United Way <br />spoke in regard to funding of 16 United Way agencies, of which five are <br />also funded by County. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-0018 with State Department of Roads in regard to Project <br />BRO-7040(20), awarding contract to Diamond Engineering Company, Grand Island. <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Abernethy to approve Resolution #97-0018 <br />with State Department of Roads and authorize chairman to sign resolution. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br />
