<br />97;=-0/1 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />9:29 a.m. Hartman made a motion and Quandt seconded to hold an <br />executive session to discuss strategy for negotiations with the <br />Hall County Public Defender~ office. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:55 a.m. Hartman made a motion and Quandt seconded to return to <br />regular session. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hartman made a motion and Quandt seconded to appoint Huey Long, <br />Pamela Lancaster and Jerry Janulewicz as a negotiation team and <br />to retain Jerry Pigsley to assist with negotiations if needed. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />Quandt requested that the letter on the prison facility be added to <br />the agenda for discussion. Quandtmade the motion and Stelk seconded <br />to add the letter for discussion. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. This was received as communications and would be <br />discussed later. <br /> <br />SHERIFF FOSKET - PURCHASE OF PATROL CARS: Fosket stated that <br />$92,500.00 had been budgeted for patrol cars. He will be trading <br />in 6 cars and the total bid for the new patrol cars will be <br />$88,065.00. Abernethy made a motion and Hartman seconded to <br />approve the purchase of the new cars. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. Delivery will be in April and the Chair will sign <br />the trade in vehicle titles. This is paid from equipemtn acquistion. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Jean Fisher, Register of Deeds, presented <br />information on LB 33 and requested that the Board.write a letter <br />to support this bill. This new bill would eliminate the population <br />clause allowing the register of deeds to charge for information. <br />Jean Fisher will type the letter and bring down for the Board to <br />sign and fax to the committee members. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION STATE BANK OF CAIRO TO EXCHANGE CERTAIN COLLATERAL: This <br />resolution was presented. Abernethy made a motion and Stelk seconded <br />to'approve Resolution #970003. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no.
