<br />q~~D~ <br /> <br />carried. <br /> <br />NOTICE OF SPECIAL HEARING TO SET FINAL TAX REQUEST: Brad Fegley <br />stated that it is necessary to approve the county levy only at <br />this time. Lancaster made a motion and Landis seconded to open <br />the public hearing for the tax levy. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Louise Miller requested to address the funds that are directed to <br />various agencies that are not mandated by state statute. <br />Lancaster made a motion and Stelk seconded to close the public <br />hearing, Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Long, Quandt and Stelk <br />all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion and Abernethy seconded to set the Hall County <br />Levy at .36019. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Long, Quandt and <br />Stelk all voted yes and Landis voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The call from the department of agriculture concerning the <br />certifications that are required for the weed superintendent was <br />received and they stated that they will work with the applicant <br />and it could be completed in 30 days. Quandt made a motion and <br />Abernethy seconded to appoint Robert Schultz as the new weed <br />superintendent and he would need to obtain his certification <br />within 30 days. Stelk requested an executive session with the <br />weed board concerning this issue. Quandt tabled his motion until <br />after the executive session. Lancaster made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to go into executive session. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />11:00 a.m. executive session <br /> <br />11:40 a.m. Quandt made <br />of executive session. <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk <br />carried. <br /> <br />a motion and Abernethy seconded to go out <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> <br />Quandt made a motion to offer the weed superintendent job to <br />Robert Schultz contingent with the required certifications . <br />Abernethy, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and Hartman, <br />Lancaster and Landis voted no because of the recommendation <br />from the weed board. Motion carried. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION AND APPROVAL OF PURCHASE OF SHERIFF'S VEHICLES: <br />Sheriff Perkins requested to purchase three used vehicles for the <br />investigation division. Ron Oscher stated that he had contacted <br />seven car dealers for the unmarked cars and only received two <br />responses. The vehicles will be a 1995 Oldsmobile, a 1997 dodge <br />
