<br />q<6~03a \ <br /> <br />Ellen Totzke returned and stated she placed the call and left a <br />message on voice mail to return the call by 10:30. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE REPORT: The public works committee <br />recommended that the Hall County Board accept bids on 3 new 1998 <br />or 1999 tail gate spin spreaders on October 13, 1998 at 10:00 <br />a.m. Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to hold the bid <br />opening on October 13, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN THE BOARD OF <br />CLASSIFICATION STANDARDS REPORT: This report includes the budget <br />and inventory on completed projects. Stelk made a motion and <br />Lancaster seconded to authorize the Chair to sign the report. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ON APPRAISALS ON SOUTH LOCUST PROJECT: John Amick, 410 <br />Amick Avenue, Doniphan, Nebraska, stated he represents eleven <br />different clients on the South Locust project on right-of-way and <br />conservation easements. The original appraisals have been done <br />and Mr. Amick is requesting that information be released. <br />Chairman Hartman requested that Vice-Chair Tammie Stelk take over <br />the meeting. The appraisals are usually referred to another firm <br />for review then negotiations will start with the land owners. <br />Lancaster made a motion and Landis seconded to have Deputy County <br />Attorney Jerry Janulewicz send a letter to Bill Fischer to <br />release the original appraisals. These appraisals would be <br />available to the attorney and the land owners. County Attorney <br />Ellen Totzke stated that Jerry Janulewicz recommended that the <br />appraisals should not be released. Lancaster withdrew her motion <br />and Landis withdrew her second until Deputy County Jerry <br />Janulewicz could be contacted. <br /> <br />BID OPENING ON BOX CULVERTS: Lancaster made a motion and <br />Abernethy seconded to open the bids on the box culverts. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no.
