<br />fgptJ/? 3 <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: Abernethy made a motion and Quandt seconded to <br />accept communications and place on file. Abernethy, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, <br />with Hartman absent. Motion carried <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD SECRETARY REPORT: Lisa Hagen stated she did not have <br />a report. <br /> <br />Abernethy questioned if the invoice for the dues with the <br />Nebraska Tax Research Council should be paid, and Lisa was <br />instructed to submit the claim for the payment for the annual <br />fee. <br /> <br />Stelk requested that the matter with the AIda Lounge and the <br />letter concerning the South Locust Street project be discussed on <br />June 9. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: Gary - He attended a conditional use <br />committee meeting, the Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting and <br />the senior citizens meeting. <br /> <br />Long - He attended the audit committee meeting, the Stuhr Museum <br />Board meeting, CNCS meeting in Loup City, and the NACO workshop <br />on restructuring government. This was an interesting and mind <br />expanding meeting and is looking forward to going over the <br />workbook and putting it to use. <br /> <br />Abernethy - She also attended the NACO workshop and was to <br />present the information to the rest of the board. She attended a <br />juvenile justice meeting in Washington, D.C. The local Head <br />Start program was reviewed and passed inspection. She attended <br />the ADA committee meeting, park committee, building and grounds <br />committee, criminal justice meeting and 2 merit commission <br />meetings. She attended the meeting at Children's Village on the <br />staff secure facility and the opening of the new SAC Museum. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the meeting at Children's Village, the <br />audit committee meeting, and the CVB board meeting. CVB has <br />expressed concerns on the construction on 1-80 and they are <br />working on putting up signs at the exits. CVB is also working on <br />their budget. The Wings Over the Platt will reimburse CVB for <br />expenses. She attended a conference on aging and was impressed <br />with the services available. She also attended the NACO <br />conference on restructuring government. <br /> <br />Landis - She also attended the meeting at Children's Village on <br />the staff secure facility and commented on the grant application <br />and her request to review the grant. She attended the <br />conditional use committee meeting. The Reuse committee discussed <br />DTE and AIN and the minutes will be mailed out. She also <br />
