There was <br />a good voter turn out for this primary election. She attended an <br />ADA committee meeting and a Health Board meeting and the joint <br />meeting with the city and the County on the Health Department <br />budget will be June 1, at 6:00 p.m. She also attended the <br />meeting at Children's Village and requested that some of the <br />elected or appointed department heads also serve on the picnic <br />committee. <br /> <br />Landis stated that the election committee needs to meet <br />concerning issues on tallying votes. <br /> <br />Hartman arrived at 10:45 a.m. He attended a meeting at Mid- <br />Plains and stated that they are not going to proceed with the <br />addition to the building but will consider leasing space to meet <br />their needs. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: The public works committee report was read: <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE REPORT <br /> <br />The Hall county Public Works Committee recommends the Hall County <br />Board of Supervisors receive bids on one 1998 Motor Grader with <br />the trade-in of one 1975 Cat 140G motor grader and alternate bid <br />on the trade-in of one 1992 Dresser 850 motor grader. Bids to be <br />received until 10:30 a.m. on June 23, 1998. <br /> <br />QUANDT made a motion and Stelk seconded to accept the <br />recommendation of the public works committee. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The letter from Bob Siemers was discussed. Quandt made a motion <br />and Stelk seconded to add this to the agenda as an emergency <br />item. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to request the Deputy <br />County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz to draft a letter on this matter <br />and send a copy to Dave Barber with Regional Planning Commission. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
