<br />tJ3F otJ;?~ <br />CONSID~h APPROVING OFFER TO PURCHASE PFEIL PROPERTY: Deputy <br />County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz requested an executive session <br />for discussion ~f this mat~er. St7lk made a motion and Long <br />seconded to go lnto executlve seSSlon to consider the offer. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:25 a.m. Executive session <br /> <br />9:40 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to go out of <br />executive session. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion and Landis seconded to accept the purchase <br />agreement from Jesus Conteras and Ignacio L Conteras for the <br />Pfeil property, in the amount of $50,000.00. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, and Stelk all voted yes and none voted <br />no and Quandt voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Darlene Niemoth, 5575 Skypark Road, Grand <br />Island, requested to present additional petitions opposing the <br />prison to the County Board. Copies of the petitions have been <br />sent to Mr. Clark, with the Nebraska Department of Corrections. <br />Mrs. Niemoth commented on various responses from the public. <br />Landis stated the people should have the right to vote on this <br />issue. Quandt stated he received a letter from Scott Moore <br />stating that the County does not have the right to put this issue <br />on the ballot, but the board didn't take into consideration the <br />results of the survey. Lancaster stated that it would have been <br />better to have the survey done by districts. Abernethy stated <br />that the pole may have been done to early. <br /> <br />10:00 A.M. GRAVEL BID OPENING: Stelk made a motion and Lancaster <br />seconded to open the gravel bids.
