~3;:t14/;g1 WHEREAS, Neb. Rev. Stat. ~ 86-1003 requires that a governing body imposing telephone surcharges for 911 services do so on a uniform basis on each local exchange access line physically terminating in the governing body's 911 service area. NOW BE IT RESOLVED that as follows: 1. To pay for expenses, charges and costs incurred in providing emergency 911 and Enhanced 911 telephone services within the county's 911 service area, the Hall County Board of Supervisors hereby continues the imposition of a monthly telephone surcharge offifty cents ($.50) per month on each local exchange access line physically terminating in the county's 911 service area in accordance with Neb. Rev. Stat. S~ 86-1001 through 86-1009. 2. Pursuant to the above-cited statutes, the Hall County Board of Supervisors is authorized to and has entered into contracts directly with service providers of emergency 911 telephone service and is authorized and has entered into contracts with other public agencies and other political subdivisions for the administration of emergency 911 telephone service. To the extent that any such prior executed contracts are not in conflict with this resolution, said contracts shall remain in full force and effect. 3. Service providers providing local exchange access lines physically terminating in the County's 911 service area shall comply and conform with all requirements imposed upon such service providers by Neb. Rev. Stat. 9986-1001 through 86-100~including, but not limited to, the collection and remittance of the monthly surcharge. 4. This Resolution shall become effective on this date.
